As the clumsiest shepherd in the ranks, Sumia lacks the agility most soldiers should have. This, coupled with her poor self image, leaves the girl quite critical of herself. Her origin;
Sumia is of Noble blood, having been born into one of Ylisse's lesser known families, House Euthalia. She spent her childhood caring for the war horses & pegasi bred by her family; shirking her duties as a lady in favor of the beasts' company, much to her parent's dismay. Rather than only raise animals for war, she decided to fight alongside them at age 16. Alas, she failed to join the Pegasus Knights time and time again, despite the undying support of her best friend, who had made the cut.
It wasn't until age 18, when Prince Chrom had asked her to join the shepherds, that her potential had finally been seen.
